Click & Pledge Adds State & Country Restriction
Feature
Blacksburg, VA…March 21, 2009 – Click & Pledge announced today the addition of a screening feature that enables nonprofits to control and screen from which states they may legally accept donations. Nonprofit organizations are required to register with states in which they “actively solicit” donations.
“We have had numerous requests for this feature from the nonprofit sector,” said Kamran Razvan, CEO of Click & Pledge. As a result, the new feature is a “restrictions tab” that offers a list of countries and U.S. States that may be removed from pull down menu. “It’s a simple and easy solution,” he said.
Rules and regulations for registering charities with states are administered by the National Association of State Charity Officials. Most states follow the NASCO’s Charleston Principles for registration guidelines. Details may be found on the National Association of State Charity Officials (http://www.NASCOnet.org).
