A letter to all nonprofits:
If you signed a contract with your fundraising platform, you’re not getting the respect you deserve.
It’s that simple.
Unfortunately, it’s likely that you’re either legally bound now, or you’ve seen it all before at some point in your nonprofit’s life. Pages on pages of cryptic lawyer droning, by its very nature designed to be clear only to them. Sign at the bottom.
For what?
To ensure that no matter how well or poorly this platform provider is meeting your needs, you are now trapped for some amount of precious time (at least a year, often longer).
This is ludicrous.
You are a nonprofit. Your express purpose is to do good in the world. Isn’t it the ethical responsibility of a company serving in this space to support you, not force loyalty while hindering your mission?
At Click & Pledge, we treat you differently.
In our 25 years as a company, we have never created a contract for any customer.
We have done business with tens of thousands of nonprofits since 2000. And guess what? They’re all here because they want to be.
Click & Pledge is built on a shared conviction amongst our team, woven into the fabric of this organization from the very beginning:
We exist to make the world a better place by empowering hardworking organizations on the ground across all sectors.
We, and our competitors, can make all the fancy products and plugins and bells and whistles we want to. But…
The proof is in the pudding.
You find out who actually cares about what you’re trying to accomplish when it costs them something to care.
As a Click & Pledge customer, if you get to a point where we are not able to meet your needs the way you would like, you are completely free to go. No strings attached.
We want you to make your community a better place more than we want money. We’re not willing to back nonprofits into a corner when that’s not what is best for them. And if another company tells you this is how they feel but traps you into a contract…well, their actions speak for themselves. We’ll let our actions speak for us.
You deserve better.
Our lack of contract prioritizes your needs.
It also demonstrates that our relationships are built on mutual trust, respect and confidence in what we work so hard to offer our nonprofits.
We genuinely believe we have what it takes to help you succeed in all things fundraising. And we have the track record to prove it. No one lasts decades in this space without making products that truly work.
We create these products by listening to you, and you only. We have never, at any point, been funded by outside capital. We are beholding to no one except our customers.
Our support team isn’t tiered. As our customer, you have full access to all support channels at no extra cost.
You also have the complete freedom to post ideas and feedback on our public forum. Our lines of communication are always open.
We keep our customers by listening and taking action. That’s what a real relationship should look like.
Take the next step.
If you’re ready to have a fundraising teammate who truly has your back, and you finally get out of that contract, come join us.
We’ll be waiting, and we’d love to have you.
