The Click & Pledge Foundation’s fourth season of video production, Heroes Uncovered: Part 2 officially concluded in early February. If there is anything this series has shown us here at Click & Pledge, it’s that the heroic is quite often found in the seemingly ordinary.
The Perseverer – Mwanzo
Loyce founded her nonprofit, Mwanzo, which means “new beginnings” in Swahili. The organization is committed to community-driven development, improving the lives of the 10,000 residents of Rabour and its 14 surrounding villages. Mwanzo provides a school for the local children, medical help and support for farmers and other entrepreneurs.

The Educator – Salem Educational Foundation & Alumni Association
To celebrate Trula’s never-quit spirit, the Salem Educational Foundation & Alumni Association is creating a new endowment in Trula’s honor. This will provide Salem High School students with scholarships to achieve their secondary education goals, something Trula has always been passionate about.
Champion Healer – Jubilee Housing
Ingrid is working to change the way we see and treat people returning from incarceration to begin a new life. Watch how she is fighting for justice through Jubilee Housing’s Reentry Transitional Housing Program and help them reach their $10,000 goal.
Joanna – KEEN USA
Joanna Winsborough dedicated her life to ensuring KEEN athletes with disabilities were empowered and successful. Though Joanna passed away from cancer last year, her continuing legacy was on full display at this year’s Los Angeles Marathon as each TEAM KEEN athlete crossed the finish line.
The Fighter – Endometriosis Foundation
According to the World Health Organization, endometriosis affects 190 million women worldwide. This journey of pain, isolation and discouragement eventually brought Lindsey into a community she never knew existed; one that was crucial for her to continue her fight. She became connected to a network of supporters through online groups and organizations like the Endometriosis Foundation.
The Guardian – YouthReach International
Kostya and his team at YouthReach International have dedicated themselves to the next stage of this journey: providing a safe and normal life for the kids in Germany, and healing from the trauma of war and displacement.
The Friend – Bay Aging
Jessica Schlosshan has had a soft spot for older folks ever since she can remember. As a volunteer for Bay Aging’s Meals on Wheels program in Mathews County, Virginia, she puts that love into action.
